
Biography: Junlin Li is a junior majoring in Business Economics and Psychology. Her entrepreneurial spirit inspired her to launch a nutrition surveillance automation startup early on, sparking a strong interest in business analysis and behavioral sciences. At UCLA, Junlin holds a leadership position in the Ascend UCLA Chapter and is a member of the Benjamin Graham Value Investing Program, with internship experience spanning investment banking, secondaries, and venture capital. She enjoys road trips and kayaking and is also an amateur cook with a specialty in beef bourguignon.
Future Plans: Junlin will be working as an investment banking intern in San Francisco this upcoming summer. She is excited to take on a steep learning curve in a field of interest and explore how capital-raising transactions and strategic initiatives can triangulate business fundamentals and drive meaningful, wide-reaching impact.
What this scholarship means to me: I am incredibly honored to receive the Harold R. Mortenson Endowed Scholarship Fund Award. It encourages me to keep nurturing my intellectual curiosity as someone with a growth mindset, both in pursuit of academic excellence and professional development. I am also grateful to be part of UCLA’s Business Economics community, an inclusive environment that cultivates talent from within with the support of amazing professors and motivated peers.
