Chiara Paz

I am a Bruin through and through – I attended UCLA for my undergraduate degree in Psychology and graduate degree in Education.  I’ve enjoyed working with college students since my days as a peer mentor in Los Angeles City College and have continued to work in various university advisory positions for the past 17 years. Prior to joining the Economics department in February 2017, I served as the advisor for the joint Master’s and teaching credential program in the UCLA Graduate School of Education & Information Studies.

Alice Wang

I obtained my undergraduate degree in Japanese Studies and English Literature at UCSD, which led me to a career in teaching English abroad in South Korea and Japan on the GEPIK and JET Program respectively. Upon my return to the U.S., I worked for a Japanese government sponsored cultural institution based in Los Angeles while also completing my MA in International Relations. Education, communications, and international relations have been the cornerstone of my professional career, and the opportunity arose in 2020 for me to join the Economics department as a Graduate Advisor. I am honored to serve the department and its hardworking students, staff, and faculty.

Note: The Economics Graduate advisors are working under a hybrid schedule until the foreseeable future. Should you wish to meet with them in person, kindly send either one an email to set up an appointment.
