Chiara Paz
I am a Bruin through and through – I attended UCLA for my undergraduate degree in Psychology and graduate degree in Education. I’ve enjoyed working with college students since my days as a peer mentor in Los Angeles City College and have continued to work in various university advisory positions for the past 17 years. Prior to joining the Economics department in February 2017, I served as the advisor for the joint Master’s and teaching credential program in the UCLA Graduate School of Education & Information Studies.
Alice Wang
I am a UCSD graduate with a BA in English Literatures and also Japanese Studies. I taught English in South Korea and Japan under the GEPIK and JET programs respectively, and upon my return to the U.S. worked for the Japanese government at a cultural and entertainment institution in Hollywood while also completing my MA in International Relations. My passion for education, culture, and communications with people of diverse backgrounds led me to joining the UCLA Economics Department as a Graduate Advisor in early 2021, where I now enjoy helping my students succeed! Outside of work, I am an amateur potter, photographer, and baker.
