UCLA Emeritus Distinguished Professor John Riley has been awarded a honorary Doctorate of Commerce from the University of Canterbury, from where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Commerce in Economics in 1969. Professor Riley is one of the world leaders in the area of auctions and mechanism design.
